Armenian uses three types of stops: voiced, voiceless, and aspirated; mastering the breath is key to sounding natural.

  • Voiced (բ, գ, դ, ձ, ջ) are like English b, g, d, dz, j.
  • Voiceless (պ, կ, տ, ծ, ճ) are crisp, like English p, k, t without air.
