The Future Tense: I Will Do
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Armenian future tense adds a specific suffix to the verb stem to indicate actions that will happen later.
- For -ել verbs, add -ու եմ: Ես կարդալու եմ (I will read).
- For -ալ verbs, add -ալու եմ: Ես գնալու եմ (I will go).
- Negatives use 'չ-' before the auxiliary: Ես չեմ գնալու (I will not go).
