Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The Pusdalyvis describes an action happening simultaneously with the main verb, formed by adding -damas to the verb stem.
- Use it when the subject of both actions is the same: 'Jis ėjo dainuodamas' (He walked singing).
- It must agree in gender and number with the subject: 'Ji ėjo dainuodama' (She walked singing).
- It cannot be used if the subjects of the two actions are different.
