Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Uzbek suffixes change their vowels to match the last vowel of the word root, ensuring a smooth, melodic sound.
- If the root has a back vowel (a, o, u), the suffix uses back vowels (a, lar).
- If the root has a front vowel (e, i, o', u'), the suffix uses front vowels (e, lar).
- Most Uzbek suffixes have two forms: -lar/-lar or -da/-da depending on the root's vowel.
