Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'не бил' + participle to say something allegedly didn't happen when you weren't there to see it yourself.
- Replace the auxiliary 'е/са' with 'бил/били' in the 3rd person: 'не бил дошъл'.
- Keep 'съм/си/сме/сте' for other persons: 'не съм бил разбрал'.
- The particle 'не' always comes before the auxiliary 'бил' or 'съм'.
