Use the subjunctive in relative clauses when the noun you are describing is hypothetical, non-existent, or uncertain.
- Use subjunctive for non-existent things: 'I want a book that is interesting' (where none exists).
- Use subjunctive for future expectations: 'Find someone who can help us.'
- Use indicative for facts: 'I have a book that is interesting' (I actually own it).

Meanings
The subjunctive mood in Armenian relative clauses indicates that the existence or identity of the noun being described is not yet confirmed or is purely hypothetical.
Hypothetical/Non-existent
Describing something you are looking for but haven't found.
“Ես փնտրում եմ մեկին, ով ինձ օգնի։”
“Կա՞ որևէ մեկը, ով ինձ հասկանա։”
Future Expectation
Describing a requirement for a future event.
“Մենք կընտրենք այն թեկնածուին, որ լավագույնը լինի։”
“Գտեք մի տեղ, որ հանգիստ լինի։”
