The Instrumental case shows how you do something or what you use to do it.
- Use it for tools: 'I write with a pen' (Գրում եմ գրչով).

Meanings
The Instrumental case indicates the instrument, tool, or means by which an action is performed, or accompaniment.
Instrument/Tool
Used to describe the physical object used to perform an action.
“Նա կտրում է դանակով (He cuts with a knife).”
“Ես նկարում եմ վրձինով (I paint with a brush).”
Means of Transport
Used to describe the vehicle used for travel.
“Գնում եմ ավտոբուսով (I go by bus).”
“Նա եկավ գնացքով (He came by train).”
Accompaniment
Used to express being with someone or something.
“Ես ընկերոջս հետ եմ (I am with my friend).”
