Yes, but it must be surrounded by commas: 'Dia, namun, tetap pergi.' This is very formal and less common than starting the sentence with it.

It's not 'wrong' in creative writing or informal blogs, but in academic or professional Indonesian, it should be replaced by 'Namun' or 'Akan tetapi'.

They are virtually identical and interchangeable. 'Oleh karena itu' is slightly more common in modern usage.

Yes! In formal Indonesian (EYD/PUEBI), the comma is mandatory. It represents the natural pause in speech.

In formal writing, no. 'Karena' is a subordinating conjunction and should be part of a larger sentence. Use 'Oleh karena itu' to start a new sentence.

It means 'Even so' or 'Nevertheless'. It's used to show that something is true despite the previous sentence.

It's neutral. In a very formal essay, 'Dengan demikian' or 'Oleh karena itu' is better.

Don't overdo it. Use one every 2-3 sentences to maintain flow. Too many can make your writing feel 'clunky'.
