The Plural Suffix '-ukal'

To make most inanimate nouns plural in Malayalam, simply add the suffix '-ukal' to the end of the word.
- Add '-ukal' to simple nouns: 'pusthakam' (book) becomes 'pusthakangal' (books).
- If the word ends in a vowel, sometimes a consonant bridge is needed.
- This suffix is primarily used for inanimate objects and some animals.
