En arabe, wa est cet ami collant qui s'attache physiquement au mot suivant. C'est la particule la plus courante de la langue. C'est la différence entre ressembler à un robot ("Je mange.
Je dors.) et un humain (Je mange et je dors").

How This Grammar Works

Pensez à wa comme un préfixe, pas un mot séparé. Il ne tient jamais seul. Il s'appuie toujours sur le mot qui le suit.
Grammaticalement, il fonctionne comme une conjonction. Mais contrairement au français, où nous utilisons des virgules pour les listes (A, B et C), l'arabe aime répéter wa à chaque fois (A et B et C).

Pas d'espace après !

Fais attention, tu ne dois JAMAIS mettre d'espace après le wa. Écrire wa kitaab avec un espace est faux. Il faut coller : «وكتاب».

Si tu veux parler comme un natif, utilise le wa pour lier tes idées. Ça donne un rythme super fluide à tes phrases, comme : «أدرس وأسمع موسيقى» (J'étudie et j'écoute de la musique).

Parfois, tu verras un 'waw' à la fin des verbes (comme dans «ذهبوا»). Ça, c'est différent ! C'est le suffixe du pluriel ils. Aujourd'hui, on regarde juste le wa qui veut dire et : «ذهب وعاد» (Il est parti et est revenu).
