Grammaire à connaître
Verbs in Arabic are conjugated based on the subject's gender and number. For example, 'قارن' (to compare) becomes 'يقارن' for a male singular subject (he compares) and 'تقارن' for a female singular subject (she compares).
هو يقارن الأرقام. (He compares the numbers.)
When comparing two items, you often use the preposition 'بين' (between). For example, 'قارن بين A و B' (Compare between A and B).
قارن بين التفاح والبرتقال. (Compare between apples and oranges.)
To express 'to compare with/to something', you can use the preposition 'بـ' (with/to). For example, 'قارن شيئًا بشيء آخر' (Compare something with something else).
لا تقارن نفسك بالآخرين. (Don't compare yourself to others.)
The past tense of 'قارن' is 'قارن' (he compared). For a female singular subject, it is 'قارنت'.
قارنت النتائج. (She compared the results.)
The imperative form (command) for a male singular is 'قارن!' (Compare!) and for a female singular is 'قارني!'.
