In Iranian universities, using 'نقطه نظر' is a sign of intellectual maturity. Students are encouraged to look at texts from various 'نقطه نظر' (Marxist, Feminist, etc.). On Persian Twitter, 'نقطه نظر' is often used ironically or to start a 'thread' (رشته توئیت) of serious analysis. In Dari Persian, 'نقطه نظر' is also used, but 'دیدگاه' or 'نظریه' might be slightly more common in certain formal governmental contexts. Tajik speakers use 'нуқтаи назар' (nuqtai nazar), which is the Cyrillic transliteration of the same phrase. It remains very formal.
