Erreurs courantes

In Lao, the noun must come first, followed by the number, and then the classifier. You cannot put the number first like in English.

The classifier 'khon' is strictly for humans. For animals, you must use 'toh'.

Wrong: ໝາສາມຄົນ (ma sam khon)

You cannot omit the classifier when counting. Saying 'House four' is incomplete; you must say 'House four [unit]'.
