مُهِمَّة

Nouns in Arabic have a gender (masculine or feminine). The word مُهِمَّة (muhimma) is feminine because it ends with a tāʾ marbūṭa (ة).

هذه مُهِمَّة صعبة. (This is a difficult task.)

Nouns in Arabic can be singular, dual, or plural. To make مُهِمَّة plural, you would typically add the feminine plural suffix -āt (ـات) to get مُهِمَّات (muhimmāt).

لدينا العديد من المُهِمَّات. (We have many tasks.)

Arabic nouns are declined, meaning their endings change based on their grammatical function in a sentence (nominative, accusative, genitive). For example, in the nominative case, مُهِمَّة would end with a ḍamma (ـةٌ or ـةُ).

المُهِمَّةُ واضحة. (The task is clear.)

Adjectives describing a feminine noun like مُهِمَّة must also be feminine. They typically follow the noun.

مُهِمَّةٌ جديدة (A new task.)

Nouns can be definite (known) or indefinite (unknown). To make مُهِمَّة definite, you add the definite article al- (الـ) to the beginning: المُهِمَّة (al-muhimma).
