To show possession or absence in Croatian, change feminine nouns ending in -a to -e.
- Nouns ending in -a change to -e: 'Mama' becomes 'Mame'.
- Use it for negation: 'Nemam kave' (I don't have coffee).
- Use it for possession: 'Knjiga moje sestre' (My sister's book).
