Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Russian nouns have three genders—Masculine, Feminine, and Neuter—determined primarily by their final letter.

  • Masculine nouns end in a consonant (e.g., 'дом').
  • Feminine nouns usually end in '-а' or '-я' (e.g., 'мама').
  • Neuter nouns usually end in '-о' or '-е' (e.g., 'окно').
Noun + Last Letter = Gender (♂️, ♀️, ⚧️)
