Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Adverbs of frequency tell us how often an action happens and usually sit right before the verb.
- Place the adverb before the verb: 'Аз често чета' (I often read).
- Use 'никога' (never) with a negative verb: 'Аз никога не чета' (I never read).
- For questions, keep the adverb near the verb: 'Ти често ли четеш?' (Do you often read?).
Meanings
These adverbs describe the frequency of an action, answering the question 'How often?'.
General Frequency
Describing how regularly an action occurs.
“Той често ходи на фитнес.”

Negation
Expressing that an action does not occur at all.
“Аз никога не пуша.”
