Imperfective Aspect (Несвършен вид)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

The imperfective aspect describes actions in progress, repeated habits, or general facts without focusing on a specific completion point.

  • Use it for ongoing actions: 'Чета книга' (I am reading a book).
  • Use it for repeated habits: 'Ходя на работа всеки ден' (I go to work every day).
  • Use it for general descriptions: 'Той говореше тихо' (He was speaking quietly).
