Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

To turn any statement into a Yes/No question in Bengali, simply add the particle 'কি' (ki) at the beginning of the sentence.

  • Place 'কি' at the very start of the sentence: কি তুমি যাবে? (Will you go?)
  • Keep the word order the same as the statement: তুমি যাবে (You will go) -> কি তুমি যাবে? (Will you go?)
  • Use a rising intonation at the end of the sentence when speaking.
