Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the verb 'կարծել' (to think/opine) followed by the conjunction 'որ' (that) to report what someone believes or thinks.
- Use 'կարծում է' for 'he thinks' and always place a comma before 'որ'. Example: Նա կարծում է, որ...
- The verb in the 'որ' clause usually stays in the indicative mood for facts/opinions. Example: ...որ դա ճիշտ է:
- Unlike English, you cannot omit the word 'որ' (that) in Armenian reporting.

Meanings
The primary function is to attribute a specific belief, opinion, or thought process to a third party or oneself in a structured, indirect way.
General Opinion
Expressing a subjective view about a situation or object.

Learners often use 'որ' for everything, but 'թե' is used for doubt or when there are two options.

Pause and remember to add the auxiliary verb 'եմ'. Don't just say 'Ես կարծում'.
Use 'համարել' instead of 'կարծել' to sound more professional and authoritative.
Replace ', որ' with the '՝' (puyt) mark. It's a shorthand used in modern writing.
Negate the reporting verb ('I don't think that...') rather than the opinion ('I think that... not'). It sounds more natural.
