Subject Pronouns (Zaimek)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Polish subject pronouns replace nouns, but you can often drop them because the verb ending tells you who is speaking.
- Use 'Ja' for I and 'Ty' for you (singular). Example: Ja czytam (I am reading).
- Use 'On/Ona/Ono' for he/she/it. Example: Ona śpi (She is sleeping).
- Use 'My/Wy/Oni/One' for we/you(pl)/they. Example: My jemy (We are eating).

Subject pronouns are words like 'I', 'you', or 'they' that replace the person or thing performing the action of a verb.
