Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
The particle 'би' (or 'б' after vowels) turns a past-tense verb into a conditional 'would' statement.
- Use 'б' after vowels: Я хотів би (I would like).
- Use 'би' after consonants: Ми пішли би (We would go).
- It always attaches to the past tense verb form.
