Negation in Past Continuous (oxumurdu)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To say you weren't doing something, add the negative suffix '-mı/-mi/-mu/-mü' before the past continuous marker.
- Take the verb root: 'oxu' (read).
- Add the continuous suffix '-yur' or '-ur': 'oxuyur'.
- Insert the negative '-m' before the tense: 'oxumurdu' (he/she wasn't reading).
