Negative 'Být' (Nejsem)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

To make the verb 'být' (to be) negative in Czech, simply add the prefix 'ne-' to the start of the conjugated form.

  • Add 'ne-' to the start: 'jsem' becomes 'nejsem'.
