Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To ask for permission in Burmese, add the question particle 'မလား' (ma-la) to the end of your verb phrase.
- Use 'လုပ်လို့ရမလား' (Can I do it?) for general permission.
- Add 'ကျွန်တော်/ကျွန်မ' (I) at the start for extra politeness.
- The verb comes before the permission marker 'လို့ရမလား'.
