Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Bengali verbs change based on the social distance between the speaker and the listener or subject.
- Use 'Tui' (intimate) for close friends/God: 'Tui kor' (You do).
- Use 'Tumi' (familiar) for peers/younger: 'Tumi koro' (You do).
- Use 'Apni' (formal) for elders/strangers: 'Apni koren' (You do).
