Bengali uses three different words for 'you' based on social distance, respect, and intimacy.
- Use 'আপনি' (apni) for formal, professional, or respectful situations.

These are the three distinct second-person pronouns in Bengali, which dictate the verb conjugation and the level of respect shown to the listener.
Formal (Apni)
Used for strangers, elders, superiors, and in professional settings.
“আপনি কি চা খাবেন?”

Informal/Friendly (Tumi)
Used for friends, colleagues of equal status, and younger people.
