Accusative Endings for Feminine Nouns

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

When a feminine noun is the direct object of a verb, its ending changes from -a to -u.

  • Most feminine nouns end in -a in the nominative (subject) case.
  • When the noun receives the action, change the final -a to -u.
