Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To say 'with' someone or something in Armenian, add the suffix '-ov' or '-ov' to the noun.
- Add -ov to nouns ending in a consonant: ընկեր (friend) -> ընկերով (with a friend).
- Add -v to nouns ending in a vowel: մայր (mother) -> մայրով (with mother).
- Use this for tools, transport, and company: գրիչով (with a pen), ավտոմեքենայով (by car).

The instrumental case indicates the means by which an action is performed or the company accompanying the subject.

Being in the presence of someone.
“Ընկերով գնացինք (We went with a friend)”
