'Chhētī' is the most heard word to keep the many ceremonies on schedule. While a host might tell their family to 'Chhētī karō' to serve a guest, they would never tell the guest to 'Chhētī karō' to eat or leave. In cities like Ludhiana, 'Chhētī' is used aggressively in traffic, often accompanied by honking.
The 'Yar' Factor
Adding 'Yar' (friend) at the end makes it sound much more natural and less like a harsh command.
