The grammar logic is straightforward. You usually place the connector between two words. Or you place it between two full sentences.
You don't need to change the word's form. They never change for gender or number. They are stable and reliable friends.
Just drop them in and keep talking. It is like adding a bridge between two islands.

Many people also confuse sau and ori. Good news: they are mostly the same! But don't use them both at once. A funny mistake is using deci too much. Some people use it as a filler word, like um or like. Try to avoid this habit early. It can make you sound a bit indecisive. Also, watch out for că vs pentru că. Că means that, while pentru că means because.
