The Double 'Бы' Rule

In conditional 'If... then' sentences, you must put бы in BOTH clauses. If you only put it in one, the sentence sounds incomplete to a Russian ear.

Never use future tense verbs with бы. Even if you are talking about next year, the verb must stay in the past tense form.
