آمادهای؟ سوالات انگلیسی با فعل 'be'
be verb و subject رو با هم عوض کن.
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To ask a question with 'be', simply swap the subject and the verb.

- Use a rising intonation at the end of the sentence to signal a question.
مرور کلی
am، is و are. احتمالاً چیزایی مثل Are you from here?(اهل اینجایی؟) یا
Is the boss nice?(رئیس آدم خوبیه؟) پرسیدی.
Yes یا No سادهست.
You are a student.(تو یک دانشجو هستی). برای اینکه اینو تبدیل به سوال کنیم، انگلیسی یه کار خیلی باحال (و یه کم تنبلانه) میکنه: فقط جای دو تا کلمه اول رو عوض میکنه.
be میپره اول صف. به جای You are، میشه Are you?. به این کار میگن Inversion.الگوی ساخت
be، این سه مرحله آسون رو دنبال کن:
be رو انتخاب کن (am، is یا are).
Am I late? | دیر کردم؟
Is she your sister? | اون خواهرته؟
Are they ready? | اونا آمادهن؟
Am فقط برای I هست. Is برای مفردهاست (he, she, it, سگه، گوشی). Are برای جمعهاست (we, they, دانشجوها) و برای you (چه داری با یه نفر حرف میزنی چه با ده نفر).
کی استفاده کنیم
- Identification:
Is that the new iPhone?
(اون آیفون جدیده است؟) یاAre you the new intern?
(تو کارآموز جدیدی؟) - Feelings/States:
Are you tired?(خستهای؟) یاIs he hungry?(اون گشنهشه؟) - Locations:
Are we at the right bus stop?
(ما تو ایستگاه اتوبوس درستیم؟) یاIs the library open?
(کتابخونه بازه؟) - Age:
Are you 21?(۲۱ سالته؟) - Nationality/Origin:
Is she from Brazil?
(اون اهل برزیله؟)
Is that a vintage band tee?یا داری دنبال دوستات تو جمعیت میگردی:
Are they near the stage?این طبیعیترین راه برای تعامل با دنیای اطرافته.
Is this real life?یا نظرسنجیهای اینستاگرام که میپرسن
Are you ready for the weekend?همشون دارن دقیقاً از همین گرامر استفاده میکنن. مدرنه، سریعه و ضروری.
اشتباهات رایج
do یا does. مبتدیها اغلب میگن Do you are happy?یا
Does he is a doctor?. هرگز این کار رو نکن. فعل
be از کلمه do متنفره. اونا مثل دو تا دوستدختر/دوستپسر قبلی هستن که حاضر نیستن توی یه اتاق باشن. اگه be اونجا باشه، do میمونه خونه.You are hungry? با یه علامت سوال. با اینکه انگلیسیزبانها (Native speakers) تو حرف زدنهای خیلی خودمونی این کار رو میکنن، ولی این از نظر فنی یه جمله خبریه با لحن سوالی. تو نوشتن یا موقعیتهای رسمی، همیشه فعل رو ببر اول.Is you ready? (مگه اینکه بخوای ادای یه میم اینترنتی خیلی خاص رو دربیاری). همیشه Are you ready? درسته. ثبات کلید موفقیته، مثل حفظ کردن استریکت تو دولینگو—هرچند قول میدیم اگه یدونهاش رو از دست بدی جغد سبز گنده رو نفرستیم در خونهت.مقایسه با الگوهای مشابه
- Statement:
You areat home. (من دارم بهت میگم کجایی. یه جورایی ترسناکه راستش.) - Question:
Are youat home? (دارم میپرسم چون میخوام بیام اونجا و خوراکیهات رو کش برم.)
play، باید بگی Do you play?. اما برای be، فقط میگی Are you?.Do youlike Netflix? (بقیه فعلها نیاز بهdoدارن)Are youon Netflix? (فعلbeخاصه)
be به چشم اون آدم VIP نگاه کن که اجازه داره صف رو رد کنه. بقیه فعلها باید صبر کنن تا do در رو براشون باز کنه، اما be همینطوری سرشو میندازه پایین میره تو و پارتی رو شروع میکنه.سؤالات رایج
میتونم تو این سوالها از مخففها (contractions) استفاده کنم؟
نه اول جمله! نمیتونی بگی Re you ready? یا S he here?. همیشه از کلمه کامل استفاده کن: Am، Is، یا Are برای شروع جمله.
چطوری به این سوالها جواب بدم؟
از جوابهای کوتاه استفاده کن! Are you happy? -> Yes, I am. یا "No, I'm not.« فقط نگو »Yes, I'm."
Am I crazy? (من دیوونم؟) Am I late? (دیر کردم؟) فقط خیلی زیاد نپرس وگرنه ممکنه مردم فکر کنن دچار بحران وجودی شدی.

Smart Tips
Stop! If you see 'be', just swap. No 'do' allowed.
Always add the subject and verb. 'Yes, I am' sounds much more polite than just 'Yes'.
Use the contraction 'Aren't I' instead of 'Am I not'.
Say the statement in your head first, then flip the first two words.

Rising Intonation
For Yes/No questions, the pitch of your voice should rise at the very end of the sentence.

Story
Meet Sam. Sam is a cat. To find out if he's hungry, we don't say 'Sam is hungry?'. We pick up the 'is', jump over 'Sam', and land at the front. 'Is Sam hungry?' Now Sam can answer!

چالش
Look around the room. Ask five questions starting with 'Is' or 'Are' about objects you see (e.g., 'Is the lamp on?').
نکات فرهنگی
The question 'Are you alright?' is often used as a greeting (like 'Hello') rather than a genuine inquiry into your health. You can answer with 'Yeah, you?'
Australians often use 'High Rising Terminal,' where statements sound like questions. This can make it hard to tell if they are asking 'Are you...?' or telling you 'You are...'.
In very casual American English, the 'Are' is often dropped entirely in questions, relying purely on intonation.
The verb 'be' comes from Old English 'beon' and 'wesan'. The inversion pattern is a hallmark of Germanic languages.

In English, the verb `be` is strong and doesn't need the auxiliary verb `do`. You simply move `be` to the front of the sentence.
In very casual conversation, yes. However, for exams and formal writing, you must use the inverted form: `Are you ready?`.
Use the subject and the verb: `Yes, I am` or `No, I'm not`. Don't just say `Yes` or `No` as it can sound a bit blunt.
Use `Are you` for adjectives, nouns, or locations (Are you happy?). Use `Do you` for actions (Do you run?).
Yes! You can use the Present Continuous for future plans: `Are you coming tomorrow?`.
`Am not I` is very formal. In standard English, we use the irregular contraction `Aren't I?` for negative questions.
No, in standard English, `you` always takes `are`, even if you are talking to only one person.
If the subject is plural (e.g., 'Tom and Mary'), use `Are`: `Are Tom and Mary here?`.
