سلام رفیق! آماده‌ای یه قدم بزرگ برداری و اسپانیاییت رو خیلی قشنگ‌تر کنی؟ این فصل درباره‌ی یه بخش جذاب زبان اسپانیاییه: چطور آرزوها، امیدها و حتی شک‌هات رو درباره‌ی کارای بقیه بیان کنی. فکر کن می‌خوای بگی «امیدوارم دوستت امتحانشو خوب بده» یا «می‌خوام که اون بیاد». چطور اینا رو بگی؟ اینجا یاد می‌گیری! اسم سوبخونتیوو (Subjunctive) شاید اولش یه کم ترسناک به نظر بیاد، ولی نگران نباش، از اون چیزی که فکر می‌کنی آسون‌تره و خیلی هم کاربردی! اینجا یاد می‌گیری چطور فعل‌ها رو یه کم تغییر بدی (گاهی فقط با عوض کردن یه حرف صدا!) تا نشون بدی داری درباره‌ی یه آرزو یا یه چیزی که از یه نفر دیگه می‌خوای، حرف می‌زنی. می‌بینی که چطور بعد از کلمه‌هایی مثل «que» و یه سری فعل خاص، فعل بعدی شکلش عوض می‌شه. مثل یه جور بازیه که وقتی قانونش رو یاد بگیری، دیگه اشتباه نمی‌کنی. با تموم کردن این فصل، تو می‌تونی راحت بگی: «می‌خوام که تو بیای» (Quiero que vengas) یا «امیدوارم حالتون خوب باشه» (Espero que estés bien). این توانایی بهت کمک می‌کنه توی مکالمه‌های روزمره، وقتی می‌خوای برای کسی آرزوی خوب کنی یا یه چیزی رو ازش بخوای، خیلی طبیعی و مثل یه بومی‌زبان صحبت کنی. این خیلی مهمه برای اینکه اسپانیاییت روح داشته باشه. پس بزن بریم که کلی چیز یاد بگیریم!

The basic structure for these expressions is surprisingly consistent: a main clause (often with a verb expressing a wish, hope, or desire) + the conjunction que (that) + a subordinate clause with the verb in the subjunctive mood. This is sometimes referred to as

The key is recognizing the trigger verbs in the main clause that necessitate the subjunctive in the second clause. Common trigger verbs for wishes and hopes include:
* querer (to want)

* pedir (to ask for, to request)
* preferir (to prefer)
* insistir en (to insist on)
Once you have one of these trigger verbs, followed by que, the verb in the next clause must be in the present subjunctive. The good news is that forming the present subjunctive for regular verbs follows a simple vowel flip pattern:
