प्लग निकाल दो

You use this when a device is fully charged. You use it when you are cleaning an appliance. Simply point at the wire and say the phrase. If you want to be more specific, add the device name. For example, Laptop ka plug nikaal do. It is a very active, physical instruction. Don't worry about complex grammar here.

Use it at home when the toaster is smoking. Use it at the office when a projector is no longer needed. It is perfect for everyday chores. If you are traveling, you might say this to a hotel staff member. It is also common when someone is hogging the charging port. Just a quick, friendly request does the trick.

Do not use this for 'unplugging' from the world or relaxing. Hindi has different words for 'disconnecting' mentally. Also, avoid using दो with your boss or elders. In those cases, use the respectful दीजिये (dijiye) instead. Using the wrong ending can sound a bit bossy. Nobody likes a bossy guest!

India has a huge variety of electrical sockets and power surges. People are very conscious about saving electricity. You will often hear parents yelling this across the house. 'Switch off' is common, but 'unplug' is for safety. It reflects a culture of being careful with electronics. Loanwords like प्लग are now part of standard Hindi.

For a softer tone, use प्लग निकाल देना (Plug nikaal dena). For high respect, use प्लग निकाल दीजिये (Plug nikaal dijiye). If you are talking to a close friend, प्लग निकाल (Plug nikaal) works too. You might also hear पिन् (pin) instead of प्लग in some rural areas. Most people will just use the English word though.
