Always use the 'ne' particle with the subject when using 'manzoori di' in the past. This is because 'dena' is a transitive verb. For example, 'Maine manzoori di' is correct. This is a common hurdle for B1 learners.
Formal Writing
In very formal letters, replace 'dena' with 'pradan karna'. 'Manzoori pradan karein' sounds much more professional and respectful. This is great for emails to high-ranking officials. It shows a high level of linguistic competence.
Noun vs Verb
Remember that 'Manzoori' is the noun and 'Manzoor' is the adjective. You can say 'Prastav manzoor hai' (The proposal is approved) or 'Maine manzoori di' (I gave approval). Both are useful but used in different sentence structures.
The 'Z' Sound
