Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To forbid an action in Armenian, simply place the particle 'mi' before the verb in the imperative form.
- Use 'mi' + verb (singular imperative) for informal commands: 'Mi gna!' (Don't go!)
- Use 'mi' + verb (plural/polite imperative) for groups or elders: 'Mi gaceq!' (Don't go!)
- The particle 'mi' is strictly reserved for prohibitions, never for general negation.
