Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To make a noun plural in Armenian, add '-եր' for short words or '-ներ' for long words.
- Add -եր to most one-syllable nouns: 'շուն' (dog) becomes 'շներ' (dogs).
- Add -ներ to nouns with two or more syllables: 'գիրք' (book) becomes 'գրքեր' (books) - wait, check syllable count!
- If the noun ends in a vowel, it usually takes -ներ: 'տղա' (boy) becomes 'տղաներ' (boys).
