Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To show ownership in Kazakh, add a suffix to the object based on vowel harmony and the person.
- Use -m/-ym/-im for 'my' (e.g., kitabym - my book).
- Use -ñ/-yñ/-iñ for 'your' (informal) (e.g., kitabyñ - your book).
- Use -sy/-si/-y/-i for 'his/her/its' (e.g., kitaby - his/her book).
