Use 'Future-in-the-Past' to describe actions that were planned or expected to happen from the perspective of a past moment.

  • Use the imperfect of 'ща' (щях) + 'да' + present tense: 'Щях да отида' (I was going to go).
  • Negative form uses 'не' before the auxiliary: 'Не щях да отида' (I wasn't going to go).
