The reporting verb must come after the 'enru' clause in Tamil. The subject of the reporting verb usually comes at the very end or the very beginning.

You cannot omit 'enru'. It is the mandatory connector for reported speech.

Wrong: அவர் சொன்னார், நான் வருவேன்.

Even if you are quoting directly, 'enru' is required before the reporting verb.
