Negation in Present Continuous (oxumur)
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To negate the present continuous, simply insert the negative suffix '-mir/-mır/-mur/-mür' before the tense marker.
- Identify the verb root: 'oxu' (read).
- Add the negative suffix based on vowel harmony: 'oxu-mur' (is not reading).
- Add the personal suffix: 'oxumuram' (I am not reading).
