Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Croatian verbs come in pairs: one for ongoing actions (imperfective) and one for completed results (perfective).
- Use imperfective for habits or ongoing actions: 'Čitam knjigu' (I am reading a book).
- Use perfective for completed, one-time actions: 'Pročitao sam knjigu' (I finished reading the book).
- Perfective verbs often add a prefix to the imperfective base: 'pisati' -> 'napisati'.

Meanings
