Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'ne' after the subject when the verb is transitive and in the past tense.
- Add 'ne' to the subject if the verb is transitive in the past: 'Ali ne khana khaya.'
- The verb must agree with the object, not the subject: 'Ali ne seb khaya' (masculine object).
- If the object has 'ko', the verb stays in masculine singular: 'Ali ne bachay ko dekha.'

The 'ne' particle marks the agent (subject) of a transitive verb in perfective (past) tenses.
