Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the conditional mood (aș/ai/ar) to turn direct commands into soft, polite requests.
- Use 'aș vrea' (I would like) to soften a request: 'Aș vrea o cafea.'
- Use the conditional 'ai putea' (could you) for favors: 'Ai putea să mă ajuți?'
- Always add 'te rog' or 'vă rog' to increase politeness: 'Ai putea, te rog, să deschizi ușa?'
