Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use the verb 'имам' (to have) followed by the direct object to express possession in Bulgarian.

  • Use 'имам' for all subjects: 'Аз имам кола' (I have a car).
  • Make it negative by adding 'нямам': 'Аз нямам кола' (I don't have a car).
