It depends on the last letter of the verb root.
It depends on the stem. Vowels take -т. Voiceless consonants take -тыр/-тір or -қыз/-кіз. Voiced consonants take -дыр/-дір or -ғыз/-гіз. Short verbs often use -ыр/-ір.
