The Perfective stem is your foundation for talking about completed actions in the past.
- Identify the root (usually 3 consonants).
- Add suffixes based on the person (e.g., -hu for 'I').
- The stem changes slightly based on the vowel pattern.
Meanings
The Perfective stem is used to express actions that have been completed in the past.
Completed Action
Actions finished at a specific time in the past.
“ሄድኩ (hedku) - I went.”
