Forming Comparatives of Adjectives
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To compare in Bulgarian, simply add the prefix 'по-' to the adjective.
- Add 'по-' to the base adjective: 'бърз' (fast) becomes 'по-бърз' (faster).
- Use 'от' to introduce the second object: 'Той е по-бърз от мен' (He is faster than me).
- For negative comparisons, use 'не е толкова... колкото': 'Той не е толкова бърз, колкото мен'.
