must (ضرورة قصوى/قانونية) وought to (واجب أخلاقي/منطقي) هو علامة على تمكنك من اللغة. ought to أقل قوة من must وأكثر جدية من should.ought to بكونه ثابتاً لا يتغير مع الضمائر (I, You, He, She, It, We, They). لا نضيف s للغائب، ولا نستخدم do/does في النفي أو السؤال بالطريقة العادية.He ought to help. | ينبغي عليه أن يساعد. |He ought not to lie. | لا ينبغي عليه أن يكذب. |Ought he to go? | هل ينبغي عليه الذهاب؟ |ought to في السؤال رسمية جداً ونادراً ما تُستخدم في المحادثات اليومية في السوق أو المقهى، حيث يفضل الناس استخدام Should بدلاً منها.ought to في أربع حالات رئيسية:- 1الواجب الأخلاقي: عندما نتحدث عن القيم. مثلاً:
